GitHub Trending Weekly Digest — 2026-W33
The week in open source: what developers starred, which projects broke out, and where momentum is building.
Repository of the week
cathrynlavery/diagram-design — 29 editorial diagram types for Claude Code. Self-contained HTML + SVG. No shadows, no Mermaid-slop. Diagram Design is a plugin for Claude Code, Codex, and Pi that programmatically generates 27 distinct types of architectural and conceptual diagrams. It bypasses manual visual editors like Figma by producing clean, accessible HTML/SVG outputs directly from text prompts. The tool automatically reads a provided website URL to extract brand colors and typography, mapping them to semantic roles (like paper, ink, and accent) to ensure generated diagrams match the user's existing brand identity. It also supports importing and redrawing existing draw.io or Mermaid diagrams at different detail levels.
